Your privacy is important to us.  We will never sell, share or rent your email address, personally identifiable information, your private data, or a list of our customers to third parties.  This Privacy Policy describes the information we collect and how we use that information.

[highlight]Information We Collect[/highlight]

On this website (www.athletesdatabase.com), all online payments are processed by Authorize.net or Paypal Corp. (“PayPal”), a leading provider of secure payments worldwide.  Although we must collect information from you to deliver our products and services and reduce the risk of fraud, Edward A. Greenwood, Inc. only stores the minimum information needed to fill an order. We do not store any personal, credit card, telephone or bank account information.  When you place an order for a product or service on this website, Edward A. Greenwood, Inc. collects the name, email, and shipping address that you provide.  If you purchase a digital download or subscribe to a service, you may not be required to provide a shipping address.  In this case, we only collect the name and email address that you provide.  The same applies to orders we receive offline, by postal mail.  Periodically, we may also collect information electronically from user feedback and anonymous surveys.


[highlight]How We Use The Information We Collect[/highlight]

Edward A. Greenwood, Inc. takes the privacy of your personal information very seriously and will use your information only in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy.  We will never sell or rent your personally identifiable information or a list of our customers to third parties.  This includes email and mailing addresses.  Your information is strictly used to fill orders, provide our services, notify you of new products and upgrades from Edward A. Greenwood, Inc., and provide technical support.  Information collected electronically from user feedback and anonymous surveys is aggregated and used to improve our products.  No personally identifiable information is ever used.

[highlight]Discloser of Your Information[/highlight]

The information we collect will be accessed by our employees.  It may also be shared with other companies hired to do services on our behalf.  If there is a change in the ownership structure of our business or if we enter into a joint venture with another entity, your information may be provided to our new owners or partners.  We will not otherwise share, sell or distribute any of the information you provide to us without your consent unless we are required to do so by law.

[highlight]30 Day Return/Refund Policy[/highlight]

All Athlete’s Database products and subscriptions include a 30-day money back satisfaction guarantee. Software titles and lifetime subscriptions purchased directly from Edward A. Greenwood, Inc. on this website, can be returned or cancelled within 30 days of purchase for a refund less shipping and processing. The following restrictions apply. We apologize, but we cannot offer refunds for non-lifetime subscriptions with recurring billing or services such as private labeling, branding, training, configuration, set up and custom programming. All refunds are given in the same form of payment originally used for purchase. To request a refund, contact us using the contact form on our website. Please include your name, the title of product or lifetime subscription you purchased, and the original email address used to order. Do not reply to automated e-mail because these accounts are not monitored.

[highlight]Online Subscriptions[/highlight]

For lifetime subscriptions over $160, there is a $30 return processing fee; for all other lifetime subscriptions, there is a $12 return processing fee. For non-lifetime subcriptions with recurring billing, we apologize, but we cannot offer full or partial refunds for any billing cycle. However these subscriptions can be cancelled anytime, up to 72 hours (3 days) before your next billing cycle, to avoid being billed again (see “Subscription Cancellation Policy” below).

[highlight]Digital Downloads (Electronically Delivered Products)[/highlight]

Note, if you’re unable to download your software, we can make arrangements to mail you a copy on CD; we also offer free technical support, and regularly offer free upgrades to correct issues and improve our products. You will need to completely uninstall and remove all copies of the software from every computer you installed it on. For software over $20.00, we will mail you a “certified letter of destruction” that you need to sign and return within 14 days before a refund can be issued. This confirms you have destroyed all copies of the software. For business products over $160, there is a $30 return processing fee; for non-business products over $49, there is a $12 return processing fee.

[highlight]Packaged Software on CD[/highlight]

Note, if you receive software that is damaged or defective, we can replace it with the same title and version at no charge. We also offer free technical support, and regularly offer free upgrades to correct issues and improve our products. Returned items must be in “like new” or resalable condition.  We cannot accept returns for software that has been damaged or missing original packaging. You will need to completely uninstall and remove all copies of the software from every computer you installed it on. For software over $20.00, we will mail you a “certified letter of destruction” that you need to sign and return within 14 days before a refund can be issued. We apologize that Edward A. Greenwood, Inc. cannot refund your original or return shipping expenses. For business products over $160, there is a $30 return processing fee; for non-business products over $49, there is a $15 return processing fee.

[highlight]Subscription Payments/Billing Policy[/highlight]

Some subscriptions, such as lifetime subscriptions, are non-recurring (you are only billed once and they do not automatically renew). However most subscriptions require recurring payments. When you sign up for the latter, you will automatically be billed once on your sign up date, then again at the start of each new billing cycle, for as long as you subscribe to Athlete’s Database Online. Each cycle is billed in advance. For example, if you choose a monthly subscription and sign up on January 1st, you will be billed once for the month of January, then again on February 1st for February and so forth. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle until you cancel it. For example, if you choose a one year subscription, you will be billed once on your signup date (for the entire year in advance), then each year after that for as long as you subscribe. Likewise, if you choose a three month subscription, you will be billed every three months until you cancel.

[highlight]Subscription Cancellation Policy (for Non-Lifetime Subcriptions with Recurring Billing)[/highlight]

Your subscription to Athlete’s Database Online with recurring billing can be cancelled (stopped) at any time. But to avoid a fee for your next billing cycle, you must cancel at least three days (72 hours) prior to your next bill date. Cancellation is effective immediately. You will not be billed again but you will no longer be able to access your account. We apologize, but we cannot offer full or partial refunds for any billing cycle or offer refunds for services including private labeling, branding, training, configuration, set up and custom programming. All refunds are given in the same form of payment originally used for purchase. Although you will not be able to login, we will continue to store your data for up to 18 months. You can sign up again at anytime. Note, billing automatically occurs once on your sign up date then again at the start of each new billing cycle. Depending on your subscription, this will be every month, three months or year. If your subscription is managed by Paypal (this currently applies to all subscriptions), you can cancel it yourself by logging into to your Paypal account (see “Manage my Subscriptions”).To have us cancel a subscription for you, please contact us using the contact form on our website. Please include your name, title of the subscription purchased, and the original email address used to order. Do not reply to automated mails because these accounts are not monitored.

[highlight]Lost, Damaged or Stolen Software Replacement Policy[/highlight]

If you purchased Extended Download Service (EDS) at the time of your order (this is available for downloaded software only), you can re-download the original version you ordered again for up to two years (a copy has been stored on our server). Otherwise, you will need to purchase a replacement CD or download. A home user version replacement is $20.00 and multi-user (business version) version replacement is $35.00. For more information, or if you are covered by EDS, please contact us using the contact page on our website. Please include your name, title of product, and the original email address used to order. All requests are subject to verification and approval.

[highlight]Undelivered Packaged Software/Re-shipment Policy[/highlight]

All packaged software that we ship is mailed with United States Postal Service (USPS) or FedEx tracking. While delivery times vary (it can take 10 – 15 days to receive software outside the United States), if you purchased a packaged copy on CD and have not received it, you must report it to us within 30 days from the date of your order. If tracking is unavailable or indicates your software was not delivered, we can make arrangements to reship your software at no charge. Otherwise, you must purchase a replacement CD or download (see section above). [highlight]Free Upgrade Policy[/highlight]

Each year, we release several major and minor software upgrades to correct issues, make improvments and add new features. Most upgrades are based on customer feedback. If you subscribe to an online product (like Athlete’s Database Online) all upgrades are free and automatic. For other products, upgrades are free for 18 months after purchase to customers who purchased our software on this website (www.athletesdatabase.com), Amazon.com or an authorized reseller. If you purchased your software more than 18 months ago, or purchased an older, discounted version on eBay, you will have to purchase an upgrade. Upgrades are offered at a significant discount. All qualified customers should receive upgrade information by email within 30 days of a new release. If you don’t receive this, please contact us using our contact form. For faster service, please specify the name and email address you used to order, the software title and version, and your operating system. All upgrade requests are subject to verification and approval.
